Whispering Pines is located just a few minutes from the Ligonier, IN industrial park business district, right across from the Ligonier skate park and soccer field. The area is very accessible since five of the six longest highways in the US are within 20 miles of Ligonier; US6, US20, US30, I80, and I90. Our neighborhood is right near Lake Wawasee, so we have access to the beautiful lake as well as a community pool.

The community is maintained for free, with mowing, trimming, and snow removal included.

Community

Our community is quaint and quiet, with just 28 homesites and enough space to grow. Being just minutes from the city center, there are many town events taking place for our residents to attend around the Whispering Pines community. Our neighborhood also has access to a pool, and to the beautiful Lake Wawasee.

We have wonderful schools in the area that provide great education for grades K- 12. The community gives generous support to the schools through numerous grants and partnerships. The after school bus conveniently drops kids off here in the community. Ligonier has also been declared the safest town in the US for the last three years.

Local Activities

Ligonier is known for its historic buildings and gorgeously painted murals. Ligonier is also home to the only perfumery in the U.S! Annie Oakley tours are available and popular, and a gift shop is open to the public. There are many different parks in Ligonier such as the G. Martin Kenney Memorial Park which opened in 1980. This 40 acre park includes a one-mile walking path, lighted ball diamonds, shuffleboard courts, tennis courts, basketball courts, children’s play area, and picnic pavilions.

The Ligonier Public library always has events going on. There are also many restaurants, from food like mom used to make at Fashion Farm, to the “Famous for their Fish ” Charger House. If you’re looking for something with a little more spice, there’s always one of the colorful, authentic Latin-American stores with restaurants inside.
